Shake away the Pain

How can someone with arthritis feel better? They can shake away the pain by belly dancing. I know it sounds funny, but it's true. Belly Dancing provides endurance, flexibility and strength from a low-impact workout that makes your body strong. In fact, there are several benefits like increasing core muscle strength, increasing flexibility, improving cardiovascular condition, forming better posture, even stronger bones and reduced risk of osteoporosis. Belly Dancing can even enhance your coordination and balance by improving your concentration and agility.

Belly Dancing, also called Middle Eastern Dance, is easy on the joints and is one of the newest exercise trends for people of all ages. Belly Dancing is a fun way to get moving without getting bored of the routine and you don't even need any experience!

People are always looking for new ways to workout and Belly Dancing just might be that something they want to put on their 2009 list to try.

You are right! I used to dance flamenco but my knees got to the point where they couldn't take the battering any more. I feared my dancing days might be over until I tried belly dancing - and I found that not only could my knees handle it, but my back, neck and shoulders felt much better for it!

I'm in my mid-fifties by the way.
